Patsy Wiggins Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 24, 2025.
Patsy Ruth Wischer Wiggins was born in Houston, Texas, on September 1, 1935, to Bill and Floy Wischer, taking on the namesake of her delivery midwife, "Ruth" Fauss. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Billie Jean Powell, and is now reunited with the love of her life, Leonard Dalton, to whom she was married for sixty-four beautiful years. She is survived by her daughters, Shelley and wife Debra, Ginger and husband Mike; three granddaughters, Karissa and husband Wes, Kelli and husband Phillip, and Candace and husband Dennis; along with nine great-grandchildren: Schuyler Orange and wife Isabella, LaMarq Orange, Lexi Briley, Keaton Cordell, Chazzlyn Orange, Konner Cordell, Layla Briley, and Jewel Cordell; and one great-great-grandson, Kalel Orange.
Patsy was a devoted homemaker and loving mother for many years before returning to work after her daughters were older. She enjoyed an accomplished 25-year career at Bank of the Southwest in downtown Houston, after serving as Vice President. As a lifelong member of Bethel Tabernacle for more than 80 years, she faithfully served in various roles. She taught by example and loved unconditionally. After Leonard's passing, she moved to Texas City, where she lived for nearly nine more years surrounded by the love of her family.
Words cannot capture how deeply she will be missed, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is free from suffering and at peace. We are grateful for that "blessed hope" of reuniting with her on the other side.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the celebration of life at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Bethe Tabernacle, 1020 FM 1960, Houston, Texas. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2025. At Brookside Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
