Patsy Craig Wilkerson entered her heavenly mansion on August 22, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born September 17, 1949 in Danville, Va to the late Amos Thomas Craig and Sarah Cole Craig. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Bobby Lee Craig, R.T. Craig, Wayne Craig, and a grandson, Michael Rowen - who are all waiting to greet her in her heavenly home.
Patsy was born and raised in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she married her husband of fifty-six years, James Allen Wilkerson, on August 6, 1966. She loved her Savior, her church, and her church people. She was well known for making a pound cake or a strawberry dessert for church functions, and for always having some of her famous punch in the freezer, ready to share.
Patsy was a homemaker for many years before working at Belk Leggett and later at the Danville Orthopedic Clinic, where she retired from. Her favorite role was being a wife, mother, and Nana. She will be greatly missed by her husband Allen of Danville, her daughter Sherry, husband John, and daughters Brittany and Kelly Rowen of Huron, OH, her daughter Beth Costagliola and sons Joseph, Gabriel, and Matteo of Danville,VA, her son Steven, his wife Amy, and daughter Bella of Lynchburg, VA, her sister Carolyn Hundley and Uncle William Red Cole, both of Danville, VA along with many special nieces and nephews.
To honor the special person Patsy was, there will be a visitation on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. and a funeral service on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 2 pm, both will be held at First Pentecostal Holiness Church 1810 N Main St., Danville, VA. Interment to follow at Highland Burial Park. At other times, the family will receive friends and family at 469 Knottingham Way of Danville.
