Patsy Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sanders Funeral Home - Lubbock on Jun. 26, 2025.
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Patsy Diane Williams, a beloved mother, friend, and unwavering spirit, who left us on June 16, 2025, at the age of 72. Patsy was born on March 26, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas, where she spent her life spreading warmth and kindness to all who crossed her path. She married Mike Williams on March 2, 1979 in Lubbock, TX.
A devoted mother, she took immense joy in spending time with her boys, nurturing their dreams and passions with love and support. Patsy spent over 45 years of her life working the pit gate at the local dirt tracks in Lubbock.
Known for her feisty charm and infectious kindness, Patsy never met a stranger. Her warmth and genuine compassion touched the lives of everyone around her - friends, neighbors, and family alike. In her leisure time, she delighted in the thrill of car racing, often found cheering enthusiastically at the racetrack, sharing her love for the sport with those close to her.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents James and Janice Thornton, her brother Bruce Thornton and her loving husband Mike Williams. Those left to cherish in her memory is her beloved brother Jimmy Thorton (Deborah), her sons Michael (Isabel) and Brandon Williams (Shawna), her 6 grandchildren - Jaiden, Noah, Christina, Keileigh, Taelor, & Ayren and 3 great-grandchildren - Juli, Mila, and Ava, as well a as former daughter-in-law Amanda Williams who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and love.
In celebrating her life, we remember a remarkable woman whose spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Patsy's kindness, strength, and vibrant love will be profoundly missed but will continue to inspire those she left behind.
Graveside services will be held at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas, on Friday June 27th at 10 A.M where family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory.
