Patsy R. Wilson, 83, of Reidsville, passed away on October 15, 2025. An informal celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Patsy was born in Rockingham County to the late T.R. Rakes and Bertie Hooper. She was generous to her family and friends and deeply devoted to the love of her life for over 30 years, Wendell H. Walker—a love she carried faithfully until her last breath. She retired from the American Tobacco Company after many years of hard work and dedication. Patsy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—spending time in her garden, cooking for those she loved, and she was a voracious reader who loved getting lost in a good book. She worked hard all her life and gave her best to everything she did.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her life partner, Wendell; and seven siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Natalie Spahn and husband, Dave; her stepson, Robert Walker and wife, Betsy; and her stepdaughter, Wendy Smith.
Her grandchildren include Jason Allen, Nicolas Allen and wife, Angel, Daniel Allen and wife, Stephanie, and Megan Spareaux and husband, Joseph. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Benjamin Allen and wife, Baylee, Steven Allen, Sidney Allen and partner, LeStat Jones, Sarah Allen, Elijah Allen, and Jessie Foster. Patsy’s legacy continues through her great-great-grandchildren, Atticus Allen and Amelia Allen.
A special thanks is extended to her niece, Shona Gibson; Mark Boler; and her sister-in-law, Jan Soyar, for their love and support.
