Patsy Rhyne Wooten, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, North Carolina on Thursday, December 4, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Born on November 25, 1944, in Gaston County, NC, she filled her life with love and dedication to those around her.

Pat was a talented cosmetologist, a career she embraced throughout her life, serving many wonderful friends along the way. She had a captivating personality and was a devoted member of Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, cherishing her church family dearly. Her favorite moments were spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories and joy, always accompanied by a sweet tooth for chocolate.

Family was the heart of Patsy’s existence. She was married to her beloved husband Bennie Wooten for 39 wonderful years. Together, they raised their children, Jeff Briggs, Dana Walters, Chris Wooten, Jason Wooten (Kristen), Matt Wooten (Montae), and Lindsey Wooten. She welcomed her daughter-in-law, Kim Briggs, into the family with open arms. Patsy took immense pride in her grandchildren: Jeffery Briggs (Sylvia), Jacob Briggs, Jordan Walters, Brittany Leviner (Tyler), Michael Wooten, Cuyler Wooten, Colvin Wooten, Madeleine Wooten, Brae Wooten, Alexis Deal (Bryan), and Brooks Byrd, as well as her great-grandchildren, Miriam, Ezra, Cohen, Judah, and Zeke, whom she adored cherished deeply.

Patsy is also survived by her siblings, Louise Huss (Larry), Jacob Rhyne (Jeanie), and Johnny Rhyne (Katie). She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Alma Hall Rhyne, and her son, Jeff Briggs.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, located at 1026 Dallas Stanley Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034 with Pastor Cameron Bryson officiating. The burial will take place at Hardin Community Baptist Church, starting at 2:15 PM located at 548 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC 28034.

Patsy Wooten will always be remembered for her loving spirit, her steadfast commitment to her family, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey. Her legacy lives on in her family, whose proudest accomplishment she deemed to be—her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, 1026 Dallas Stanley Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034
