It doesn't seem possible that Barney left us so soon. When I think back on all the times he helped me with this project or that project and they all came out better than I envisioned Barney would just have that smile of "I told you so". I miss those times and that smile.

To all the Rue Family,
Barney was a special business friend not only to my father Jerry Sr., but a friend of our family. As early pioneers in the development of Ruidoso, he was very generous, and taught many young people the benefits that hard work brings. To Henry, you have also been an integral part of our growing up, and I know that you are in pain. Please know that nothing we say can ease your pain, but rest assured you remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Carol I just learned about Barney. I have known him off and on for business and as a friend of the village for over 30 years. He helped me in so many ways through the years. It will leave a big hole in the Ruidoso that I have known for over70 years. I am truly sorry for your loss. Bill Karn
