Patti Alzady Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Feb. 25, 2026.
Pat Alzady, of Holly, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026. Pat was born in 1956 to the late Carl Thomas Jones and Edna Loraine (Bentley) Jones, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She grew up in New Haven, Michigan, graduated from New Haven Public Schools and obtained an Associate Degree from the Macomb Community College in computer technology. Over her lifetime, she held many positions, starting with school bus driver and moving on to managing craft shows, working for GM and Lumberjack in their computer departments, and ending her career as a project manager at Beaumont Hospitals.

Pat had a range of interests and never stopped learning new skills. At various times she painted porcelain dolls, crocheted, knitted, sewed, made metal jewelry, taught self defense skills for women, and was currently involved in the Great Lakes Lace Group, where she worked to keep the art of bobbin lace alive. One of her proudest accomplishments was working with the Octagon House in Washington, Michigan, where she was President of the Friends of the Octagon House organization.

Always a strong and determined individual, she designed and managed the building of her dream home in Holly, Michigan, out in the woods where she could enjoy the wildlife and watch the deer eat her carefully planted flowers and fruit trees. It was then that she learned she had Stage 4 cancer and set out on a 10 year fight to overcome it. She loved to cook, loved to read (especially Scottish Historical novels), and played the piano. Never one to let a cat suffer, she took in many over the years and gave them a good and loving home.

Pat is survived by her sister, Meri (Robert) Schoof of Britton, Michigan and three nephews, Joe (Renae) Jones of Des Moines, Iowa, Tom Schoof of Ferndale, Michigan, Andy Schoof (Allison Sprague) of Asheville, North Carolina, and two great nephews, Carter and Ty Jones. Also surviving is a special aunt, Nancy Sawyer, of New Baltimore, Michigan.

As per her instructions, there will be no services. Instead, Pat asked that people spend time remembering her life. Memorials can be sent to the Holly Township Library, 1116 North Saginaw St, Holly, MI 48442. Please designate that they are in memory of Pat Alzady. I met Pat at work and we shared our love of cats. She stubbornly fought her disease for many years and few others could have held it at bay the way she did. She was always pleasant and never complained. A strong and valiant woman. God bless her soul. May she rest in peace.
