Mrs. Patti Denise Ogilvie Greenway, 65, of Elberton, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Piedmont Henry Hospital in McDonough. Patti courageously fought cancer multiple times, and passed away after a brief battle with melanoma.
Patti was born in Barnesville on January 20, 1958, and was proud of her Lamar County roots. She was a 1976 graduate of Lamar County High School and furthered her education at Gordon College. Once settling in Elberton, it didn’t take Patti long to call Elberton home, where she was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. Miss Patti impacted generations of Elberton’s youth as an in home daycare provider for many years, and later worked at Bubba Foods as a line manager.
“Grandma” never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family, all of whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed camping, and cherished the times she was able to spend with her Rock Branch Honeys.
Patti is survived by her sons: Robert Baugh and his wife Christy of McDonough and Jeremy Baugh and his wife Elizabeth of Elberton; grandsons: Levi Baugh and Jensen Baugh; sisters: Paula Rose and Karla Banks, both of Barnesville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Rudolph Ogilvie and Betty Jean McDaniel Ogilvie; husband, Glenn Seaborn Greenway; and brother, Kelley Ogilvie.
A drop-in celebration of Patti's life will be held on Tuesday, November 7, from 5:00-7:00p.m. at Rock Branch Baptist Church.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to Melanoma Research Alliance, 730 15th Street NW, 4th Floor, Washington, DC 20005 US, 202-336-8944, https://www.curemelanoma.org/.
