Patti Smith Obituary
Born Feb. 24, 1969, in Olean, she was the daughter of William A. and Sharon A. Bowen Peterson. She was married to Michael T. Smith Sr. who predeceased her Oct. 20, 2021.
Patti was a lifelong resident of Olean and always enjoyed staying close to home and following her routine. She was presently employed by Perkins Restaurant, where she had worked for over 30 years.
She loved the company of her two chihuahuas, Sissy and Little Man, and always looked forward to any family functions.
She is survived by a sister, Karen (LaVor Henry) Peterson of Phoenix, Ariz.; five nieces and nephews, Johnathan Perrington, Brandyn Perrington, Stacy Gayton, William Gayton and Tayona Peterson; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her lifetime friend, Doris Herrmann of Olean.
She was predeceased by her father in 2016; her mother in 2011; two sisters, Debra Peterson Leonard and Cheryl Peterson; and an infant great-nephew, Jace Silvis.
The family invites friends to a memorial gathering from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday (March 19, 2023) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. Burial will be at a later date in Allegany Cemetery.
