Patty J. (Yahraus) Buckley, 88, of Belle Center, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 26, 1935, daughter of the late Parker H. Yahraus and Zella (Henry) Yahraus.
On December 26, 1953, Patty married Edward J. Buckley Jr. in Columbus, Ohio and he survives, along with their daughter Michelle (David) Nardi; three granddaughters, Bridget (Brannon) Knecht, Ashley (Weston) Hawkins, and Aubrey (Jake) Mokma; four great grandchildren, Alecia (Christian) Schell, Harrison Hawkins, Addison Mokma, and Jarrod Mokma; a great-great grandson, Oliver Schell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her son, Craig Allen Buckley; and two brothers, Richard Yahraus, and Jack Yahraus.
A homemaker, Patty was a Girl Scout leader, member of the Garden Club, and Gourmet Dinner Club. She enjoyed sewing, hummingbirds, her Yorkshire Terriers, and especially traveling with numerous family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine. Pastor John Foster will officiate a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Roundhead United Methodist Church, 17958 State Route 117, Roundhead, Ohio 43346.
Inurnment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
