Patty Ellis Obituary

Published by Porter Loring Mortuary North on Aug. 12, 2020.
Patty Lea Ellis, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Patty was generous, considerate, loving, a humble servant and a warrior. People would often say how much they love her, and they were willing to do anything extra for "Patty". Her husband, children, and grandchildren would say that she was their "biggest fan". Devoted, she would silently do whatever it took to show up when it was time; only silent until someone threatened one of her 'flock' then she became their "biggest defender". This incredible woman loved her husband, Ralph Ellis, of 47 years, often stating that she didn't deserve him, and always concerned about him being taken care of. Her successful career included time with Gordon Hartman and McMillian homes, where they would say she was loved by all. Patty was devoted to her church, Crown of Life Lutheran, and made sure her family knew the importance of knowing Jesus Christ. She loved travel, the beach, visiting her home state of Nebraska to be with her brothers and sisters, watching soccer and enjoying a great hamburger. By her faith and resolve, she fought stage 4 cancer for 12 years. In the pain she never lost her humility, earning the affections and love of the medical teams she worked with. Her humor was never lost in the battle, often saying that it was most welcome in the most painful times. This cornerstone of our family is grieved by those who remain here, but there is relief that she is enjoying eternity with God, who loves her. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Clemence Markowski. She is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Ellis; sons, Justin (Marian) and Troy (Kiersten); daughter, Lindsey Muniz (Alex); 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Tyler, Brenden, Caden and Sydney; brothers, Eugene Markowski, Paul Markowski (Barb) and Donald Markowski (Cindy); sisters, Mary Conner and Frances Junge (Steve). A private burial will take place at Hill Country Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be at Crown of Life Lutheran Church on Tuesday, August 18th, at 3:00 pm. Attendance of the service is limited but the service will be streaming on https://www.facebook.com/CrownofLifeSA/ Patty requested that any gifts be made to the St. Jude's Children's cancer hospital: https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?cID=14262&pID=24671&frequency_selected=2&sc_icid=faq-donate-in-honor-btn Notifications can be sent to Ralph Ellis Email: [email protected] Or designate a memorial gift marked on behalf of Patty at https://www.crownoflifesa.org/giving

Patty was sweet and very quiet. Very efficient and thorough. Her bosses were better because of her. I never heard her raise her voice in all the years we worked together at Nelson Brokerage. So so sorry she suffered so long. She is now pain free in gods hands.
