Patty Lee Ferguson Staley, 79, of Liberty, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, August 2nd, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Lee Verne “Bun” and Lula Mae Robbins Ferguson. Patty was born in Randolph County on August 12, 1944. She had worked for over 30 years at The John Plant Company in Ramseur NC. She enjoyed a simple country life. She loved her family, her two cats and especially her grand dog Roxy Anne.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lee Staley; five brothers: Carl Troy Ferguson, Thomas Hayston Ferguson, David Ronald Ferguson, Melvin Ferguson and Garland "Chick" Ferguson.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Shara Staley Matthews and her Husband Leonard Matthews, and two sisters Edna Overman and Martha Stout. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held 6-8pm, Monday, August 5th, 2024, at Smith and Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City, NC.
Burial will be private.
