Paul Joseph Amirault

1928 - 2025

Paul Joseph Amirault, 97, of Dalton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. Born on February 26, 1928, in Lynn, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Eugene and Rosalie Amirault.

In 1950, Paul began his long and distinguished career with General Electric in Lynn, Massachusetts. He earned his associate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lowell Institute in 1952, and was later selected to complete GE's Financial Management Program, which he completed in 1959. His career took him to Erie, PA, and eventually to Pittsfield, MA, in 1964, where he worked until his retirement in 1988.

A man of deep faith, Paul was a devoted communicant of St. Agnes Church. He was also a longtime member of Wahconah Country Club, where he served as Treasurer for 17 years, a member of Knights of Columbus and a dedicated board member of the Dalton Youth Center.

Paul lived his life to the fullest. He loved playing golf and skiing, and he was an accomplished diver. Among his many talents, he was also blessed with a beautiful baritone singing voice that brought joy to those around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years, Anne Amirault; his daughters, Diane Ranaldi and Carol Erb; his grandchildren, Alicia Erb Morrow and husband Thomas, and Jacob Amirault; and his great-granddaughter, June Morrow. He was predeceased by his son David Paul Amirault, who served as President of the Golf Course Superintendents of Florida.

As per his wishes, there were no calling hours and services were held privately for his family under the direction of Dery-Foley Funeral Home.
