Ogdensburg – Paul Bartman, 55, of Ogdensburg, NY, passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Paulie is a "Legend" in Ogdensburg and was the adopted son of many friends and family too numerous to mention.

Arrangements have been entrusted under the care and guidance of Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ogdensburg.

Funeral service will be held at Frary Funeral Home of Ogdensburg on Monday, March 16, at 5:00 PM with Pastor Steve Mitchell officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date in the spring time at Cedars Black Lake Cemetery.

Paul was born in Ogdensburg to Linda Rheome on May 12, 1970. He went to high school at Ogdensburg Free Academy and graduated in 1991 with an IEP Diploma. He worked at Price Chopper and Seaway Industries. Paul enjoyed watching and playing sports at OFA and was their biggest cheerleader. He also played and watched many city sports including baseball, softball and bowling (Checkout the tribute to Paul at the 11th Frame Lanes). He also enjoyed Special Olympics. The highlight of his day was riding his bike around town to visit all the local establishments to hang out with all his friends. Paul earned his purple belt in karate. He loved his time at the Ogdensburg Boys' and Girls' Club.

He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, NY Yankees, and the WWF. Paul enjoyed many road trips to enjoy rock concerts. In the winters, he would travel to Florida with his mother.

Paul is survived by many cousins and step relatives. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Mashaw, step father, Terry Mashaw and adopted father, Jay Bartman.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Spruce Street IRA for the care and love they gave Paul.
