Born January 26, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of Mary Elizabeth (Basinger) Lucas
Paul worked as a welder and fabricator, and retired from C&M Conveyor Inc. He enjoyed fishing, hanging out with his buddies to reminisce, and getting together with family.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Elizabeth Lucas; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his long-time partner's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
His life partner of 35 years, Sue Wilkerson, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be at Lawrenceport Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
