Paul Belliveau Obituary
1934 - 2024
Nahant, MA - Paul L. Belliveau, age 89, of Nahant, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 14, 2024, with his family by his side. Paul was born on December 2, 1934 to the late Louis and Emily (LeBlanc) Belliveau of East Boston, MA. Paul was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Beverly (Hutton) Belliveau and his brother Philip Belliveau.
Paul is survived by his two sisters, Lorraine Naples and Edna Doran; his three children, Paula Bethune and her partner Tom Kasper, Michael Belliveau and Peter Belliveau and his wife Linda. He was the loving "Pa" to Christine and Andrew Light, Michael and Joy Bethune, Aimee and Jason Alcarez and Sean and Therese Belliveau. He is also survived by his ten great-grandchildren, Casey, Cameron and Anna Light, Mya, Morgan and Mila Bethune, Jamie and Louis Alcarez and Finn and Sofia Belliveau, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Paul graduated from Lynn English High School in 1953 and went on to work at the General Electric of Lynn for 30 years. Paul and Beverly were lifelong residents of Nahant where they raised their family. Besides the love he had for his family, the ocean also had his heart. Paul could be seen at the Nahant wharf sailing the "MicMac" with his family and friends. This love of sailing brought him to be Assistant Harbor Master of Nahant. Upon retirement Paul and Beverly spent many winters in Hobe Sound, Florida, where they enjoyed the sunshine.
The family wishes to thank Paul's caregivers for their compassion and support.
Service Information: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean Street (Rt. 1A), Lynn, MA at 11a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nahant. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday from 9-11a.m., prior to the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Friends of Nahant Sailing, 29 Range Rd. Nahant, MA 01908. Directions and online guestbook at www.solimine.com

Let us all now understand and reflect Paul's life. He was dedecated to his family and his many friends especially all who remember him at our Dory Club.
Paul was always talking sailing and boating. God bless Paul and his family and he know sails these celetial heavens.

I never had the privilege of meeting Paul but was very fortunate, while attending Plymouth State College, to know his son Mike. If Mike used his father to exemplify life what a remarkable man Paul must have been. I love the fact that he worked at GE for 30 years. My mother worked at GE in Somersworth NH for 42 years. My condolences Mike, and all of you who were blessed to have Paul in your lives.
