Paul Raymond Berning, age 67 of Ramsey, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 24, 2025 at North Memorial – Robbinsdale Hospital, MN.

Paul was born on February 11, 1958 in Monticello, MN to Raymond Berning and Agnes (Weber) Berning.

Paul was a devoted family man. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Kim (Mosher) Berning for 46 years. He was a proud father to two daughters, and a cherished grandpa to three granddaughters, the 'circus'.

Paul was a man who put others before himself. No matter what he was going through he never failed to put himself in others' shoes and provide selfless acts of service.

For over 40 years, Paul worked at Kennedy Scales, first as a young salesman, then owner and CEO. He didn't just work to make a living, he worked with passion and loyalty with a team that soon became a second family. Paul was a risk-taking, adventure-seeking enthusiast who loved his fast and furious 'toys' – his motorcycles, snowmobiles, Audi, and Camaro. Paul will be remembered for his hard work, kindness, unconditional love for his family, and his ability to hold his head high with dignity, fearlessness, and strength.

Paul is survived by wife, Kim Berning; daughters, Jessica (Dennis) Berning-Giesler and Kayla (Scott) Dannemiller; three granddaughters and one on the way, Rylee, Brenna and Mara Fredrickson, Baby Girl Dannemiller; and siblings Monica (Jack) Mueller, Diane Berning, Linda (Hank) VanErp, Carol Frenz, Allen (Barbara) Berning, Joan Berning (Jeff Faust), Peter (Lynn) Berning, Larry (Patty) Berning, Julie Berning (Scott Colebank), Daniel (Sharon) Berning.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
