Paul James Casey, age 83 of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at his home. His wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a private family graveside service in Bellwood Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Paul was born November 12, 1942 in Hartsville to the late Thomas and Mildred Norman Casey. He was a member of Highland Chapel Baptist Church and was a retired Security Guard at Electrolux. He previously had worked in Highway Construction where he was a foreman. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and going fishing with his brother, Bobby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Sue Prince Casey; a brother, Gene Caey; and a sister, Nancy Smith.

Surviving him are his daughters, Denise (Dannie) Phipps and Kim (Robert) McGarvey, all of Cedar Hill; son, Paul James Casey II; grandchildren, Amberly Bilyeu, Jesse McGarvey, Katie McGarvey, Tabitha Jernigan, and Jason (Tawana) Jernigan; great grandchildren, Alayna Dale, Brandon Day, Carter Robles, Aiden Bilyeu, Charli Elmore, Sarah Jo Goodson, James Casey, Kayla McDole, and Krista Colson; great-great grandchildren, Braxton McDole, Bentley McDole, Braydon Colson, and Emmit Colson; brothers, Bobby Casey of Springfield and Ray (Sue) Casey of Indiana; and sister, Ruby Kanagy of Nashville.
