It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Lee Chumbley, who left us on July 30th, 2025, at the age of 78. Paul was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who filled the lives of those around him with fun and happiness.

Paul enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Loved spending time with family and friends. Two favorites were fishing and golfing, especially the trips he made to Canada and the Peninsula with his buddies. He was known for entertaining others with his joke-telling and appreciating their laughter.

He served honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating a commitment to duty and service. He joined the Ohio Carpenter's Union in 1974 and later went on to become a general contractor for 23 years until his retirement. He was sought out by many for the quality of his work.

He was a loving husband to Hazel Chumbley for nearly 53 years, a devoted father to his son Tony, and an awesome Papaw to his grandson, Cameron Welte.

He is survived by his brother, Glenn Chumbley, and sisters, Joanne Carter and Gloria Seip. Paul was preceded in death by his parents William and Mabel Chumbley, daughter Jennifer Chumbley, as well as many other relatives and friends through the years.

Memorial contributions in honor of Paul can be made to Matthew 25 Ministries at https://m25m.org/?form=donateonline or mailed to 11060 Kenwood Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242.

Family is planning a private ceremony for family and close friends at a later date.
