Paul Clement passed away with his loving family by his side at his home in Everett on Saturday, December 27th, following an extremely hard and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 66 years old. Funeral services and interment will be held privately.
Paul was born on January 8, 1959, in Montreal, QC, Canada, to his late parents, Alan Clement and Florence (Floyd) Clement. One of four children, Paul later moved with his family to the United States, settling in Wilmington, Massachusetts, where he was raised and educated.
Paul was a proud member of the United States Army National Guard and served his country for 18 years. From a young age, he was a talented carpenter who mastered his trade and went on to become a General Contractor, successfully owning and operating his business, Affordable Home Improvement, for more than forty years.
Paul was a devoted companion to Diane, with whom he shared 15 meaningful years. He was also a member of the Columbus Society in Salem, MA, where he enjoyed playing pool and billiards, his greatest passion next to being a lifelong New England sports fan.
Paul and Diane enjoyed traveling together, including trips to Alaska, cruises, and visits to several other parts of the world. One especially meaningful experience for Paul was traveling to Wembley Stadium in London to watch his beloved New England Patriots play. Though his health eventually prevented him from continuing to work, Paul remained determined and lived life fully, doing everything he wanted to do, and then some.
Paul was predeceased by his siblings, Teresa Batten and Phillip Clement. He is survived by his beloved companion, Diane M. DiGirolamo; his children, Christian Clement; Jenniffer Rogers and her husband Steven; Michelle Clement; Sarah Clement; and Hunter and Christopher Poulos. He was the proud Papa to Ally, Nathan, and Joaquin.
He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Palazzo, and her partner, Scott Fagnant; his brother-in-law, Kenneth Batten; his sister-in-law, Julie DePiano; and his brother-in-law, Gregg DiGirolamo, and his wife, Melba. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
