Paul E. Courtway, Sr. of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 74. Born on May 15, 1950, in Richwoods, Missouri, he lived a life marked by an unwavering commitment to his family and deep-rooted values.
He proudly served in the military from 1970 to 1971, a testament to his character and dedication to his country. Following his service, Paul devoted many years to his career in the timber industry, where he not only contributed to the livelihood of others but also established lasting relationships with those he worked alongside.
Paul was known for his nurturing personality, always helping others and making sure his family was taken care of. His legacy of kindness and support will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Courtway; daughters Ashley Courtway of Sullivan, MO, and Tina Courtway of Springfield, MO; and son Paul Courtway of De Soto, MO. Paul also leaves behind his siblings—Ronnie, Jerry, Dennis Courtway, Helen Smith, Linda Bridgeman, Carol Stroup, and Brenda Thurmond—as well as his granddaughter, Kaitlin Courtway, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ricky Courtway.
Paul's impact on his family, friends, and community will be felt for years to come, as he leaves behind a legacy of love and many memories.
