Paul Alvin Danforth, born on March 31, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on February 27, 2026, in Utica, Michigan. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication as a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.
Paul was a proud member of the Army National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to serving his country and community. His military service underscored a life marked by dedication and integrity.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Gwendolyn, with whom he shared countless memories and a deep bond built over the years. Paul is also survived by his beloved children; daughter Kristen (Mathew) Shimmell and son Paul Ryan (Carrie) Danforth, both of whom were a constant source of pride and joy for him. Paul's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Evangelina and Johnathan Danforth, who brought immeasurable happiness into his life.
In addition to his immediate family, Paul is remembered fondly by his sisters, Ann (Richard) Steeh and Marie Danforth, who appreciated his kindness and support throughout their lives.
Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Danforth, who passed away in 1983, and sister, Susan Kendall, who left this world in 2013. They will forever be missed and remembered by those who loved them.
The memory of Paul Alvin Danforth will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, as a man of strength and warmth, whose life was a testament to love and family.
