Mr. Paul Sailor Davis of Harrisburg departed this life Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in Jonesboro, at the age of 83.

He was born February 26, 1942 in Jonesboro, the son of the late Herman Arnold Davis and Oda Belle Denton Davis.

Paul met Effie Jones in Zion, Illinois and they married in 1962. They were blessed with 63 wonderful years together. He was a welder most of his life and worked for over 23 years with Great Dane in Memphis, TN. He was a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard in Harrisburg for 5 years. Paul loved the Razorbacks! He also loved his dear family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. From time to time, he could be found helping his son Keith build houses. He loved his Lord and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg. In addition to his parents, Herman and Oda Belle Davis, he was preceded in death by 11 siblings, Harold Herman Davis, Lewis Davis, Deward Denton Davis, Charles Lindbergh Davis, Melba Nadine Partain, Emma Jean Knowlton, Geraldine Faye Jarrett, Kathryn "Tootsie" Qualls, Buddy Davis, Hazel Doris Cox and Jerry Dewight Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Effie Davis of the home, two sons, Perry Davis of Jonesboro and Keith Davis (Sarah) of Harrisburg, two sisters, Pauline Robinson of Trumann and Judy Moss (Ronnie) of Lynchburg, TN, four grandchildren, Lindsey Douglas (Justin) of Harrisburg, Aaron Davis (Mallory) of Harrisburg, Zach Davis (Andria) of Harrisburg, and Hannah Lawrey (Jordan) of Jonesboro, and ten great grandchildren, Jace Douglas, Addisyn Douglas, Lane Davis, Addalyn Davis, Maddox Davis, Hudson Davis, Ty Davis, Cam Davis, Eva Lawrey and Jacob Lawrey.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Rev. Terry Tacker and Zach Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Davis, Justin Douglas, Randy Wigginton, Gwen Wigginton, Jordan Lawrey, and Richard Gallaway. Honorary Pallbearers will include Jimmy Wigginton, Lance Collins, Roger McClain, Mike Knowlton, Ronnie Moss, Jimmy Jones, Darryl Davis, Stanley Davis, Jaime Jones, Jimmy Rogers, Brandon Jones, Jerry Paul Davis and Johnny Wigginton.
