Mr. Paul Douglas Edwards, age 59, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born March 25, 1953 in Dalton Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert B. Edwards, and brothers, Curtis Edwards, Robert Bradley Edwards Jr., sister, Debra Price, grandparents, Paul Reeves and Bertie Mae Edwards, Luther and Gertie Porter. He is survived by his son, Paul Edwards of Chatsworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Edwards and Clifton Wheeler of Chattanooga, TN; mother Helen Porter Edwards of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffery and Carman Edwards of Ooltewah, TN, Joel and Sandra Edwards of Chatsworth, GA; five grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron Wheeler of Chattanooga, TN, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Paul Douglas Edwards will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with his brothers Jeffery Edwards and Joel Edwards officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Paul Edwards, Joel Edwards, Jeffery Edwards, Michael Edwards, Eugene Miller and Clifton Wheeler serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
