Obituary
Paul Joseph Ferdinand Jr. born November 13, 1934 peacefully passed away on October 3, 2023 surrounded by his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley; sons, Ron (Cindy) and Mark (Bridget); daughters, Brenda, Kathy and Joan; grandchildren, Eric, Shawn, Ariel, Brooke and Brianne; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Anslee, Aliee, Blake, Krista, Mitch and Josh; great-greatgrandchildren, Lissa and Elle.
Paul lived and breathed the Soap Box Derby 24/7. The Derby has lost a true legend of the derby. He accomplished what many only dreamed of. His daughter Joan won the All American Soap Box Derby Championship and so did his son Mark. His driver Megan also won and Mark's driver Ayva also won the big one. Paul also loved NASCAR and the McKinley Bulldogs. He retired from his business, Paul's Precision Automotive in 2017. He will be truly missed by the Soap Box Derby nation. Paul will also be missed by his buddies, Derek Fitzgerald, Lowell and Steve. We are requesting those who attend the Tuesday service to wear Soap Box Derby, NASCAR or McKinley apparel.
Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY, October 10, 2023, 12:00pm (Noon) at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt 93) Canal Fulton, Fr. Benson Okpara officiating.
