Paul GARBERG

August 11, 1955 - October 14, 2024

Spokane Valley - On October 14, 2024, Paul David Garberg (age 69) passed away after a long hard battle with cancer. Paul was born on August 11, 1955, to Irwin and Hilda Garberg. Paul was a lifelong resident of Spokane, and he graduated from Rodgers High School in 1973. During his final years of life, he spent most of his time with his very special and loving friend, Loretta Bills. He was able to pass peacefully at his home with his son, Jeremy, by his side.

Paul was a lifelong and proud member of the Teamsters Union as a truck driver. He was able to retire early from US Foods and enjoy his newly found free time on the lake with his friends and family. Paul called Conklin Bay on Lake CDA, his home for most of the summer months. He enjoyed sitting on the dock next to his Maxim boat drinking a beer and saying hello to everyone that passed by. The 4th of July was a special time at the lake and Paul would have his friends and family out with him to enjoy the sun and fireworks. When Paul was not at the lake, he would catch up with his friends at Darcy's in the Spokane Valley. He was a sports fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, Mariners, Seahawks, Gonzaga, and especially, his grandsons.

Paul is survived by his son, Jeremy, and his wife, Brenda; grandsons, Cayden and Aaron; brother, Gary Garberg; special friend, Loretta Bills; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a celebration of life to come at a later date. Hopefully held at Darcy's in Spokane Valley, Washington.
