Born on December 25, 1943, in Redbud, Missouri, Paul was the beloved son of the late Broadus "Geech" Blakely and Mable Ballentine Blakely.
Paul's life was defined by his devotion to family and his strong work ethic. He proudly served 23 years in the United States Air Force, followed by a 30-year career as a military grocery broker. Throughout his professional journey, Paul was admired for his dedication, kindness, and sense of humor. He took great pride in instilling a strong work ethic in his children, a legacy that endures.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul III (Melissa), his daughter, Angela Marie, and his cherished grandchildren, Talia Anessa and Paul Anthony IV. He is also remembered by his sister, Sandra Barbre, and his brother, Dennis Blakely. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen, his brothers Broadus Glenn Blakely and Steve Blakely, and his sisters Paulette Williens and Denise Blakely.
A memorial service to honor Paul's life will be held on Thursday, October 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs 80910.
Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, family values, and love will live on in the hearts and memories of those he touched.
