Ronald Paul Hamilton, 90, passed away at Webster Healthcare Center on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Born in Elkins, WV on February 19, 1935, he was the son of the late Arthur and Vaughn Hamilton. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sue Ann Hamilton; brothers, Charles, Glenn and Larry (Wanda) Hamilton; sister, Becky (Butch) Given; brother in laws, Mike Wiblin and Kurt Lyons.
Paul was a graduate of Cowen High School, served in the US Army and also a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church and was a 50 year plus member of Camden Lodge #107. Paul and Sue Ann lived and raised their family in Weirton for several years before returning back to the Craigsville area. Paul worked various jobs throughout his career but had retired from CSX Railroad and also worked as Funeral Director & Embalmer for Joe Adams and John Reed at Adams-Reed Funeral Home for many years.
Paul loved to stay busy; woodworking, making stained glass, listening to music, especially John Prine and working outside; but most of all he loved being Pap.
Remembering Paul with love are his daughters Bonita Short and Nicole Weese both of Craigsville; grandson, Seth (Chasity) Hamrick of Summersville; sister, Mary Wiblin of Ashland, VA; sister in laws; Chris (John) Eafrati of Myrtle Beach, SC and Karen Lyons of Colliers Way and also several nieces and nephews.
At Paul’s request he will be cremated and no services will be held.
