Paul Harms Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home on Nov. 26, 2025.
Paul W. Harms, age 82 of Dodgeville, peacefully passed away on October 2, 2025, at Ingleside Manor in Mount Horeb. Paul was born on July 2, 1943, in Dodgeville to Clarence "Cheese" and Gretchen (Anderson) Harms.
Paul grew up participating in 4-H and FFA and playing baseball. He married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Johnson, at Grace Lutheran Church, Dodgeville, on June 27, 1964. Together they raised two children: Jeff and Lisa. Paul loved his family, especially supporting his grandchildren at their various sporting events.
Paul was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan-but only because Goodwrench sponsored him. He also enjoyed adding to his collection of diecast NASCAR banks-but again, only the Dale Earnhardt, Sr. ones. Paul also enjoyed searching for antique, "beat-up" furniture and restoring the pieces to their former glory.
Paul will be missed for his smirk and smart-alecky remarks, and his down-to-Earth way with everyone.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Cheese and Gretchen, his brother Ivan, parents-in-law Guerdon and LaCreta Johnson, and sister-in-law Myra Elliott.
Paul is survived by his wife Beverly; children: Jeff (Deb) Harms and Lisa (Nathan) Meixelsperger; grandchildren: Brittany, Shawn (Jasmine), and Amanda; great-grandchildren; Lylianah, Beau, and Eloise; special nephew Kelly; and other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, October 16, 2025. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will commence at Eastside Cemetery, Dodgeville following the service. The Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.houckfuneralhomes.com
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the Dodgeville Area Ambulance Service and Police Department for all their help and kindness over the last year.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dodgeville Area Ambulance Service are greatly appreciated.
