Rev. Paul D. Hoffmaster

Paul D. Hoffmaster, 94, Pastor Emeritus of Fairlawn Lutheran Church, died Feb. 8, 2011. Rev. Hoffmaster was the first fulltime Pastor at Fairlawn Lutheran Church serving 26 plus years. After retirement, he was the winter Associate at Marco Lutheran Church, Marco Island, Florida and the founding Pastor at Faith Lutheran Church in Naples, Florida. He enjoyed golf and spending winters in Florida. His kind, loving spirit touched many people who in turn passed this on to future generations that still affect the church today. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; stepdaughter, Patricia Harter; nephews, William (Karen) Natemeier and David (Jane) Natemeier; nieces, Joan (Mark) Sheldon and Susan (David) Kelsey; and many great-nieces and nephews. Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St., with Rev. Thomas A. Zucconi, Rev. Charles D. Lentner and Rev. Larry Leuthaeuser officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the church 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairlawn Lutheran Church; Marco Lutheran Church, Marco Island, Fla.; or Faith Lutheran Church, Naples, Fla. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
