Paul Douglas Jackson, 72, of Victoria, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born November 13, 1952 to the late Jesse Thomas Jackson and the late Frances Lucille Carey Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Neal Jackson; brothers, Tommy Jackson and David Jackson; sister-in-law, Donishia Horner; brother-in-law, Thomas Lawson, Sr.; and nephew, Scotty Lawson.

Paul is survived by his wife, Christy Lawson Jackson; son, Christopher Jackson (Jennifer); daughter, Raven Jackson Chumney (Matthew); and grandchildren, Connor Jackson, Brooklynn Jackson, Lainey Jackson, Ava Chumney and Levi Chumney. He is also survived by his brother, Nelson Jackson; sisters-in-law, Melissa Jackson and Brenda Lawson; nieces and nephews, Tommy Lawson, Jr., Eddie Lawson, Scott Jackson (of North Carolina), Patrick Jackson, Samantha Throckmorton, Sabrina Crutchfield and Kristen Horner; and many friends.

Paul was an avid helicopter Pilot and President of the Virginia Helicopters Association. He was a hard working Entrepreneur and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He was always on the lookout for an adventure and loved tinkering with projects to stay active. Paul loved taking people for helicopter rides to help them “check it off their bucket list” or bring some cheer to ones with illnesses. Above all else, Paul loved his family.

A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Williamsburg Aviation Scholarship Program or the Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.
