Paul C. Jankowski, 77, of Niles, beloved husband of Ingrid; loving father of Steve and Mike; preceded in death by father Steve and mother Eleanor; dear brother of Larry (Carol), Kevin, Ted, and the late Jim (Gail); fond brother in law of Walter (Nancy) and Herb (Dan); proud uncle of Bryan (Thea), Katharina (Dan), Stefan (Kristen), Kelly (Brian), and Alan (Allison); proud great uncle of Paige, Avery, Harper, Sadie, Rayne, Maverick, and Jaxon

Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a radio teletype operator in Vietnam as part of the 525th Military Intelligence Group. Paul enlisted in September, 1967 and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant in May, 1969. Later, Paul's career as a signal maintainer with the Chicago Transit Authority spanned 51 years until his retirement.

Paul's love of fishing brought him great joy. His incredible gift of gab and endless supply of jokes brought smiles to everyone he met. Paul will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held at St. Martha Church 8523 Georgiana Ave. Morton Grove, IL 60053 on Friday, January 30th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.

A scholarship in memory of Paul is being established at Notre Dame College Prep in Niles. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Paul's name to: Notre Dame College Prep Attn: Mike Marrese 7655 W Dempster Street Niles, IL. 60714
