Paul Ludwig Jarisch
June 29, 1926 - April 13, 2025
Paul passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025 in Corvallis, OR. He was born June 29, 1926 in Midwest, WY to Fritz Richard and Elizabeth Otto Jarisch. His family lived in the Salt Creek Oils Fields of Midwest. He was the oldest of 3 children having one sister Lucille Jarisch, and one brother Albert Jarisch. He attended elementary school in Midwest, WY and finished high school at Prairie Bible Institute in Banff, Canada. After graduation he served in World War 2 as a member of the Army Air Corps. He was a turret gunner on a B29 bomber. He was married to Betty Mae Law on December 30, 1945. After serving in the military, he attended Open Bible College in Eugene, OR obtaining his pastoral license pastoring several churches during his lifetime. While living in Santa Barbara, CA he served as associate pastor of The Church of the Open Bible. Upon retirement he served as a missionary in Wewak, Papua New Guinea. When he returned to the States, he moved with his daughter's family to Corvallis, OR. He loved woodworking, gardening and reading God's word. He was preceded in death by his father Fritz Richard Jarisch, his mother Elizabeth Otto Jarisch, his wife Betty Law Jarisch, his brother Albert Louis Jarisch, his sister Lucille Jarisch Whitlock, his son Darrell Lee Jarisch and one grandson Troy Allen Hart. He is survived by two daughters, Paula Jeanne Hart (John R. Hart) of Antioch, CA and Donna Kay Cope (Cliffton Jeff Cope) of Corvallis, OR, 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He lived a long and very blessed life being only 2 months shy of his 99th birthday.
