Paul John Jenkins, 82, a lifelong resident of the Calhoun and Charleston area passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Paul was born on May 14, 1942, in Charleston, Tennessee to the late Charlie and Ella Mae Jenkins.
Paul was a former employee of Hardwick/ Magic Chef Stove Company for over 40 years. He was an avid farmer as well. Paul was a dedicated member of Hiwassee Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his 3 sons, Shirley Jenkins; his second wife of 43 years, Ruby Jenkins; daughter, Teresa Cox; his grandson, Dusty Cox; infant sister, Mary Catherine; his brothers, Frank (Mary) Jenkins, Millard (Edna Mae) Jenkins, Boyd (Geneva) Jenkins, and Lloyd Logger Jenkins; and his brother in law, Dale Slack.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Jeff (Brenda) Jenkins, Doug (Cheryl) Jenkins, and Greg (Sonya) Jenkins; sister, Bonnie Slack; his grandchildren, Crystal, Matt, Ty, Morgan, and Rachel; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Jameson, Elinore, and Carter; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Sanctuary with Pastor Stanley Liner officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:00 am at Calhoun First Baptist Church Cemetery with James Jenkins, Dale Jenkins, Randall Jenkins, Albert Jenkins, Billy Pilkey, Logan McDaniel, and Jeremy Mulkey serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to John, Bethany, Rebecca, and Lexi with Adoration Hospice for their loving care and compassion during this time.
