Paul Thomas Kelly, known affectionately as Paul to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 76, in West Hartford, Connecticut, due to heart failure. Born on December 28, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts, to his loving parents John and Betty Kelly, Paul's early life was filled with the warmth and closeness of a tight-knit family, a trait that he carried throughout his life.
Paul is survived by a family that adored him including his children: Kevin and his spouse Michelle, Brendan, and Brian; his cherished grandson, Jackson Paul, who was a beacon of joy in his life; his brothers John, Mike, and Ray; his sister Mary; and his significant other, Lisa Williams, who was his partner in both love and life's adventures. Each family member felt the depth of his love and the strength of his character in their individual ways.
A proud veteran, Paul served his country as a member of the 1st Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War, a period that shaped his views on life and instilled in him a profound sense of duty and resilience. Following his service, Paul became a beloved milkman, a role he took great pride in, serving his community for over 35 years with a smile and a kind word for everyone he met.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street in Manchester. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 30, at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Hillstown Road Cemetery.
