Paul B. Kennedy III, 77, of North Easton, MA and formerly of Southington, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara G. (Odell) Kennedy.

Paul was born on May 20, 1948 in Southington, CT to the late John A. Kennedy Sr. and Agnes (Dempsey) Kennedy. He graduated from St. Anthony's High School in Bristol, Class of 1966, where he played basketball and baseball. After highschool, he went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Navy from 1967 – 1971.

Paul had a long career in Finance, working at Connecticut Bank and Trust before moving to Massachusetts and taking a management position with Primus Automotive Financial Services. Paul loved sports and was a big fan of the UCONN Huskies and the New York Yankees. He was also a man of faith and a devout church goer. Most of all, he was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Paul is survived by three sons; Eric Kennedy and his wife Daniela of Boiling Springs, SC, Scott Kennedy of Plantsville, CT and Sean Kennedy and his wife Abigail of Barrington, NH and five cherished grandchildren; Mikayla, Cameron, Mia, Julianna and Owen. He is also survived by six siblings; John Kennedy Jr., James Kennedy, Mary Hietala and her husband Craig, Joseph Kennedy and his wife Nancy, Frank Kennedy and Stephen Kennedy and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife Barbara, Paul was predeceased by one sister-in-law, Rita Kennedy.

A memorial service with military honors will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
