Ed Klee
February 25, 2024
Around 60 years ago when I was thirteen, Paul worked in the areas of Flemingsburg, Morehead, and Maysville. My Dad, George Rober Klee owned and operated the Flemingsburg IGA store. When in the area, Paul would stop by and visit. Multiple times he would swing by and pick me up on his return trip to Falmouth and drop me off to visit Grampa and Gramma -- my Dad’s homeplace and parents – George Nicholas Klee’s farm. After a week or so, either Paul or another sales representative would bring me back to Flemingsburg.
Paul’s van was always full of merchandise he was delivering to different stores. At that time, there was only the driver’s chair so Paul would set up a crate for me to sit on as we traveled to Falmouth. Paul has been part of my life for many years. I have fond memories of our trips from Flemingsburg to Falmouth. Paul had a gentle and kind heart.
My fond memories. Ed Klee

It was always a fun gathering visiting the Paul Klee household and while we are only cousins once removed his memory will last through his family.
