Paul Kwamina Larbie, 72, of
Victoria, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was born on April 11, 1953, in Bawku, in the Upper Region of Ghana. He was the son of Mr. Nicholas Ekow Acheampong Maxwell Larbie, a road construction engineer, and Madam Sabina Dede Addy, a market trader, both of blessed memory. Paul was one of twenty-six siblings, six of whom preceded him in death.
Paul began his primary education in Bawku and later attended St. John's Preparatory School in Accra for his middle school education. Paul returned to Bawku to complete his secondary education. Upon completing secondary school, Paul traveled to the United States to further his studies in Agriculture. He attended schools in Ohio and Illinois.
In the late 1970s, Paul journeyed to
Victoria, Texas and met two dear friends, Xavier Kuykendol and James Grant. He continued his agricultural studies at Victoria College.
In the late 1980s, he met his dear wife, Nona Margaret Franklin. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed a daughter, Jasmeen Nicole Akua Larbie. Paul also helped raise his stepson, Ben Henry Lewis, Jr.
Paul worked as a Winder Operator at Inteplast in Lolita, Texas, where he dedicated over 30 years of service. Outside of work, he found peace and joy tending to his farm. He will be fondly remembered for his kind spirit, gentle humor, quiet strength, devotion to family, and his "You Only Live Once" outlook on life.
Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law, and six siblings. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Nona Larbie; his daughter, Jasmeen Green (Dariyan); his grandchildren, Janaiya Green and Amaiya Green; nineteen brothers and sisters; seven in-laws; and a host of nieces and nephews.
