Paul Eugene Maier, also known as the Best Husband Ever and Best Dad Ever, passed away on 7-12-24.He joined the Navy at age 17 and served right at 7 years before and during the Vietnam War Era, serving as a Radarman RD2 E-5. During this time, he earned the National Defense Service Medal.
He met his wife Sheila the summer he left the Navy, and they were married 4 months later. They were married for an amazing 56 years, with one son / Paul Maier Jr.
Paul started his own business as an Auto-Repair Shop focusing on Foreign/Import cars, with a heavy focus on Volkswagen / Porsche. He patented a Fuel Mixture Potentiometer for Fuel Injection. During this time, he also built and raced Dune Buggies... with pictures of this making it into "Off Road Magazines".
He was always known to be one to take his time with people to share his knowledge in this area, as well as many others. Paul Eugene Maier showed himself every day to be a very hard working, loving husband, father and friend. He will be so greatly missed until we see him again in Heaven.
He is survived by: Wife: Sheila Maier, Son: Paul Maier Jr., his wife Laya, Granddaughter: Madi, Brother: Joe Massarello, wife Carolyn, Sister: Dolores Plamondon, Sister-in-law: Carol Hammock, husband Rich, Brother-in-law: Steve Hammock, wife Donna, and Nieces & Nephews: Ed, Erin, Jena, Briana, Toby, Jody, Tommy, Chris, Rodney.
