Paul "Gussy" James McLaughlin, Sr. Age, 51, of Kennett Square, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 19th at home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness. Along with his family, friends and extended Church family, Gussy will be dearly missed by everyone. Gussy was born on August 10, 1955 to Thomas M. McLaughlin and the late Geraldine D. McLaughlin. He was a graduate of Kennett High School in 1973 and a 1975 graduate of Delaware Technical Institute. Paul was a very talented contract painter and his most recent position was with the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square. Gussy had a very competitive personality and loved watching all sports events, especially The Eagles, Sixers, Phillies and Notre Dame. His most important love though was his family and the very special times he spent with all of them. Gussy is survived by his Wife, Kris, Son P.J. and Daughter Megan. He is also survived by his Father Thomas, Sr. of Kennett Square and Brother Mickey and wife Dee McLaughlin of Hockessin, DE. In addition Paul is survived by his Mother and Father-in Law, Bob and Betty Prengle of Stuart, FL, Brother-in-Law Mark and Wife Diane Prengle of Bear, Delaware, Sister-in-Law Becky Sugrue and Husband Paul of Stuart, FL and Sister-in-Law Karen Shaud of Dewey Beach, DE. He is also survived by Nieces Colleen Riley, Kelly Ruiz, Erin McLaughlin, Jenna Prengle, Erin Sugrue and Ginger Shaud. Gussy was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Davidson McLaughlin and his sister, Mary Catherine Rhoades. His Memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square located at 211 S. Broad Street, Kennett Square. Family visitation will be held from 9:30 � 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation is memory of Gussy may be made to the Megan McLaughlin Education Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 883East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348 or to the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square, 211 South Broad Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348 Online condolences may be made by visiting www.griecofuneralhomes.com
