Paul Douglas Mitchell

Paul Mitchell completed his earthly journey on March 26, 2026.

He was born to Robert Raymond and Claire Mitchell on September 14,1948 in Harve dr Grace, Maryland.

Paul came to Del Rio with the Air Force, and never left. He worked as an engineer with Southern Pacific Railroad for 35 years. After retirement, he delivered meals for Meals on Wheels for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert R. Mitchell, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Carole Herrington Mitchell, his son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Aracely Mitchell, daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Doug Warren, grandsons, Herrington, William and Elliot Mitchell, brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Fern Herrington, and nephews, Rob and Ed Mitchell.

The family would like to express our gratitude to Lisa and Elda of Holy Savior Hospice, his personal Uber driver, Mike Evans, and to the Blue Crew and everyone at the Blue Oasis for their love and support over the past few years.

Paul's memory can be honored by doing an act of kindness for someone else.
