It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Anthony Mizzoni, who died on January 27, 2026 at the age of 87. Paul was a devoted husband and father whose lifelong commitment to baseball enriched the lives of countless young athletes. He served the town’s recreation department with distinction, founding the Pembroke Senior League for ages 15–18, and held the position of Commissioner of Pembroke Baseball for 28 years.
Paul’s enduring legacy is reflected in his family, the many players he mentored, and the community he helped strengthen through America’s pastime. His dedication, integrity, and warmth will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Born in Boston’s North End in 1938 to Louis Mizzoni and Paolina Gerace, Paul met his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth (Boleman) Mizzoni, who grew up in South Boston. Shortly after the birth of their first child, they settled in Pembroke, where they raised their family and resided for 65 years.
Paul is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his children, Karen Dimestico, Paul and Joe Mizzoni; and his grandchildren, Ray Dimestico, Sarah and Michelle Mizzoni, Krista and CJ Mizzoni, Marisa Mizzoni, and Katlyn Hathaway. He is predeceased by his son Louis and his brother Joseph Mizzoni.
