It is with deep sorrow that the Munns family announces Paul's passing on December 6, 2025.

Paul was a devoted member of the White Bear Fire Department. When Paul wasn't busy answering calls, he delighted in dressing up as Sparky the Dog for countless community events, including Relay for Life, Gloria's Shortest Marathon and other Fire Department events. His gift for bringing joy through character didn't stop there-he also appeared as Smokey the Bear while volunteering with the DNR at the State Fair, and played Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny for family gatherings.

Paul's passion for service was evident throughout his life. He dedicated himself to his community as an EMT and Paramedic, along with being a firefighter. In addition, he worked for both United Hospital and the Regions Hospital EMS Team. Paul also enjoyed teaching first aid and CPR classes for the Red Cross and various other organizations. Paul's passions also included serving on the Buck Hill Ski Patrol and bell-ringing for The Salvation Army at Christmas time.

In his free time, Paul was an avid Smokey the Bear fan and forest tower enthusiast. He also loved everything related to NASA and the John F. Kennedy Space Center. Above all, he cherished being an uncle. His costumes won the hearts of his nieces and nephews, and he never missed a chance to join in the fun on trips to the State Fair and Valleyfair.

Paul is preceded in death by his mom, Mary Munns. He will be dearly missed by his dad, Bob Munns; his siblings Michael (Bonnie) Munns, Michele (Keith) Hagel, and Mark (Laurie) Munns; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A visitation will be held at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake, on Thursday, December 11, from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Mary of the Lake Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake, on Friday, December 12, at 11 AM, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial and reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Estates of Roseville or the Salvation Army.
