I am deeply saddened to hear of Paul's death. I moved to Burnsville my senior year and got a job at Wendy's where he was working......That was one of the best years of my life and alot of it is due to Paul. He made this country girl feel welcomed and he became a true friend. We actually dated a couple of times and once he cooked me dinner at his house on the grill and when he went to light it I was bending over the grill and he burned my eye lashes off...
Last year I saw his name on a high school alumini site and we e-mailed each other a numerious..he told me of his beautiful wife Wendy and of his summers at his cabin.
He will truely be missed and my heart goes out to his wife and family.

If there was a person that I can honestly say I liked and loved being around it was Beeze. We first meet Uncle "Beeze"during a broomball party on a cold -10Fdegree New Years eve party.Wendy had brough the hot nacho cheese dip and the party was ready to roll. The broomball experience was fun and filled with lots of action.Beeze, not wanting to be outdone keept up with the crowd from "Sgi and Oaklawn Avenue" and I belive he even scored a few goals that winter evening.
Winter passed and summer picnics at the Kelley"s with Beeze,Wendy,G&G Ness and the kids was always entertaining. Beeze loved kids and the kids loved him and the X game boys of Oaklawn Avenue keept him up to date with their latest skateboard moves etc. He would always have a good joke or story to tell and boy could he entertain a crowd.
This past summer we had a great time with Beeze,Wendy,G&G Ness,Randi John and Brooke during the 4th of July weekend at the Ness compound on Clear Lake.
Clear lake was Beeze pride and joy, from the numerous stories that we had been told by Randi,G&G and Josh this was his special place in the woods.
Sunset at Clear Lake brought a feeling of closness with the Ness family. The crouqet game, fishing, tubing and the evening ride on the pontoon created dear memories for all of us.
Wendy,Beeze will be greatly missed by all of us,thank's for sharing him with us.
Love,
Peter,Amy and Christian.

To all who knew Paul,
I am sure many of us could add hours and hours of memories to this book, and they all could start with:
One Day up at the lake Paul,....
Well here are a few of mine.
One Day up at the Lake, I remember Paul and friends taking a midnight hike up to the WhiteFish Golf course. Although it was a paved road to the course Paul decided to take a more adventurous route via back and forth across the road into the blackberry bushes, the weeds, the woods...pretty much, now you see him, now you don,t. (we did finally make it)
One Day up at the lake, Paul taught us all the fine art of making the perfect "Perkins Omelette"
One Day up at the Lake Paul,(actually on the way to the lake), had a "run-in" on the road with a skunk and the skunk got the best of him (and his car).A new air freshener was created, "ode of skunk" His car was never the same.
One day up at the Lake, Paul introduced us young studs to the "Pointer sisters". Cruising to the point via boat, water skis, swimming, fishing, anything to get a glimpse of those girls. We even got so bold as to travel that long road to the point in our "74 chevy pickup, Molly Hatchet blaring on the tape deck. Vacation to the cabin was never the same again!!
One day up at the Lake, Paul showed us the way to Ideal Corners, (and THAT is a whole new book in itself!)
One day up at the lake, Paul showed us the fine art of cutting out the opening for a window...with a chainsaw.
One day(actually many nights), up at the lake,Paul and friends enjoyed a few games of Mexican,3 man, quarters, captian and crew...and many more.
One day up at the lake, Paul shared with me his secret of "cruising girls" back in the cities...He said, and I qoute, "All I do is put johnson on the hood of the car to drag'em in and then I do all the talkin"
I guess my best memories of Paul are just sitting around the fire pit with, John "Puke", Johnson "the hood ornament", Jay, Wendy, Randi, Ord,Dan, The "Pointer Girls", Little Steven, and yes even his mom and dad, swapping stories from our own archives of memories of past vacations "Up at the lake".
He is an important chapter in the life and times of Clear Lake.
You will be missed Beez.

I first met Paul the summer I was 12 and my parents bought the cabin. Paul was the cool guy with the boom box and the job at Wendy's. To this day I am taken bacvk to the treee stump chairs around the campfire when I hear a certain Van Halen album. We spent countless hours being entertained by Paul. Part of the reason he could entertain for so long was he could repeat the same stories each year and they would get funnier and funnier. Paul's positive outlook and ability to see the lighter side of things had a positive effect on me. He taught me to laugh- even at myself. Thank you Paul- I will miss you and remember you always.- Holly

Dean and I were very sad to hear of Pauls death. Dean and Paul were roommates at River Falls and had many fun and wonderful times together. Dean and Paul were alway playing a hot game of cribbage, in fact I'm not sure how much studying got done. To this day when ever Dean or I open a box of Cheez-it's we think of "Ness" he always had a box of Cheez-it's. Wendy you are in our thoughts and prayers, as well as Pauls family. Love the Truhler's

I met Paul on June 13, 1995 on my first day at West Publishing. He immediately made me feel welcomed and part of the group. We quickly became good friends which included daily lunches at 11:00, and happy hours with Bret Otzenberger, Pete Lawrence and many others, almost every couple of weeks for a while. I remember those days, and Paul was like a big brother to me in many ways. He had advice for me on just about any topic: dating, work, ... We were then moved around a bit at work and I didn't see Paul as much, but would still meet for lunch from time to time. He was the type of friend that if I saw him walking up ahead of me in the parking lot, I would run and catch up with him. Just to talk. The last lunch we had, he was giving me advice about who to invite to my wedding in August. I was honestly looking forward to introducing him to my finacee, Becky, because Paul has known me for so many years. Becky did go to the funeral service with me and she said she really felt like she knew him from the stories that were told about him.
I will miss you Paul. You were a great friend of mine. I am lucky to have known you. I will be thinking of you for years to come.
Your friend always,
Dave

I worked with Paul when he was at UNISYS. I am surprised and saddened by Paul's death. I remember Paul as being so talkative and full of life. He always had a humerous story to tell and always spoke highly of his wife, Wendy. He will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts are with Wendy and Paul's family.

Paul will be missed at West Group by all that knew him. He always had a cheery greeting for me whenever we met at work. We worked in the same group for a while and I got to know him best then. A dog lover, and so for me, that immediately meant he was a great guy! He brought smiles to everyone when he talked - his laugh and smile were infectious! Peace to him and his family.

When Paul and I worked together at Unisys, you could always count on him to lift your spirits. He had the most entertaining stories about everything in life. He always had a smile and would make time for you.
We have lots of good memories to reflect back on to remember how special he was. We will miss him dearly.
May God comfort Paul's family and friends.

I knew Ness at the end of high school and when he was at River Falls in the early 80s. I have not seen or spoken to him since that time, but when I heard of his passing, my heart sank just the same. Nestor made me laugh, and I will always remember driving around in his green mustang playing loud music. My thoughts and prayers are with you, his family. Know that even old friends mourn for your Beezer.

Uncle Beeze...You'll be missed so much by the girls and I (Carrie and Jenna). You'll forever be remembered for making us all smile and laugh.
Kip, we love you dearly and let us know if there's anything we can do, even if it's just coming up to visit when you need a friend.

I loved the stories, the big muskies, the dogs, the cabin, and friends. Paul could tell a story. Most of all I really just enjoyed Paul's company -- he made work at Unisys enjoyable. Paul was a good man, a good friend and I know he is missed already. God bless you all... Dave

Paul and I were in the same group at Unisys. He was a delight to work with. He did wonderful impressions and kept up a comic running commentary on everything going on. Our families both had cabins near Brainerd, and we were always going to meet for a beer. I wish we had. I'll miss him.

Paul was a joy to work with while he was at Unisys. Always had time to say Hi and had an infectious laugh and smile that kept everyone loose around the office. He will be sadly missed and we I wish Wendy and Paul's family all the comfort and peace that only God's mercy and grace can provide. -Al Caron, 2/20/02

I was the admin. asst for Paul at West when he was on the eWeb team. He was the first person to introduce himself and make me feel welcome. I always enjoyed lunches with him because he always made me laugh. Just passing in the halls at work would make me smile because he was such a great person to be around. I will always remember Paul's kind and loving heart.
There is a place
that we call memory --
A province by itself
which, though unseen,
is home and haven
to the heart --
and there,
in peace and beauty,
waiting,
and those with whom
we shared our yesterdays
Love to Paul and his family,
Willie

Paul and I worked together for a few years at Unisys. We enjoyed eating lunch together. After he left Unisys, I still saw him occasionally, usually at our favorite Chinese restaurant. He was my friend, and I'll miss him.
