Paul W. "Too Tall, Paul" Pennington, age 65, of Brookville, Indiana died Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, following a lengthy illness.

Born May 9, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of the late William & Mary Ann (Simmerman) Pennington. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

On May 21, 1999 he was united in marriage to the former Cynthia Simon, and she survives.

He was retired, having worked for many years at Klosterman Bakery in Cincinnati, and most recently at the Franklin County Sheriff's Department where he served as a Chief Jail Officer and Special Deputy. He was a member of the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion in Brookville. In his leisure time he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, music, and was a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan.

Besides Cindy, his loving wife of over 26 years, survivors include three children, Amanda (Brian Antrim) Pennington of Indianapolis, Indiana, Matthew (Keisha) Pennington of Brookville, Indiana, Carrie (Brian) Eubanks of Mason, Ohio; four grandchildren, Haley Pennington, Scarlet Eubanks, Lucy Maple, Bristol Eubanks; three brothers, William (Terri) Pennington, of Goshen, Ohio, Joe (Janie) Pennington of Batavia, Ohio, Nickalus Pennington of Brookville, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Judy Burman and Danielle Simon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Mary Ann Pennington, his mother-in-law, Patricia Simon, his sister-in-law, Loralee Pennington; and two brothers-in-law, John Simon Jr. & Bill Burman.

Family & friends may visit from 3 until 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

His granddaughter, Haley Pennington will officiate the Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with Military Services by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion immediately following at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Brookville American Legion.
