Paul N. Ponsonby

Paul N. Ponsonby, 90, of Port Vue, PA, passed away on February 9, 2026. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he touched the lives of everyone with his kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loved ones and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The son of the late Dennis and Grace Ponsonby, he was born April 9, 1935, in McKeesport, PA. He is preceded by his wife, Joan Shuma, his brothers, Dennis and Craig, and his sister, Daisy. He is survived by his children, Paul (Kathleen) of Katy, TX, Keith of Baton Rouge, LA, and Linda of Columbus, OH, and by his stepson, George (Cristine) Shuma of West Mifflin, PA. He also leaves behind grandchildren Mason and Taylor; Nicholas, Kristin, and Erin; Lauren and Daniel; Eric and Rachel; as well as nieces and nephews. A retiree from US Steel National Tube Division, his last residence was the Southwestern Veterans Center in Pittsburgh, PA. He was an active member of the American Legion in Port Vue and participated in many military honor services. Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
