Paul A Poole, age 87, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on November 16, 2023. He was born on August 13, 1936, in Sisterville, WV to Harry and Hazel Poole Kinkerton. When Paul was three, his family moved to Buffalo, N.Y, where he grew up.
Throughout his life, Paul had many hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a deep love for reading and would spend hours lost in the pages of his favorite old western books. Old westerns films also held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed watching them whenever he could. Paul was known for his green thumb and spent countless hours tending to his yard with care and precision.
Paul had a strong sense of duty and served his country with honor in the Navy. His military service was a testament to his bravery and dedication. After completing his service, he returned to civilian life and embarked on a fulfilling journey.
Family was at the center of Paul's world. He cherished every moment spent with them and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Paul was married to Barbara Poole for an incredible 61 years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Together they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and cherished memories.
He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Ann Poole (Jeff Mascoe) along with his neicnieceses and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Ga from 6:00-9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held to honor Paul's life on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Providence United Methodist Church, Blairsville, GA. It will be a time to remember and celebrate the incredible journey of a remarkable man.
Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and infectious laughter brought happiness to everyone around him. His presence enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
