I was so sorry to hear of Paul´s passing. I have great respect and admiration for the whole Pritchard family. It was a luck day for Ware Shoals when "old" Dr. Prichard decided to move there. My father came a few years later. Paul was a year ahead of me at school. We had a lot in common....both of our fathers were physicians in Ware Shoals, we both had several brothers and a sister and we both went to Ware Shoals School. He was my role model. I kept up with his career and life though mutual friends who stayed in Charleston, but the obituary blew me away. What an awesome career and life. I wasn´t surprised to read about his work, travels, hobbies, etc. I know he leaves a hole that is impossible to fill. He lived life to the fullest. My condolences go out to the entire family. I know you all have faced difficult times before. My wife, Linda, and I know we have you all in our thoughts.

Dr. Pritchard was an attending in the EEG lab. I was privileged to work with him for a few years. He and his wife came to my wedding in 2010 and it just so happened that the pastor that married us and her husband knew him and Mrs Pritchard. My condolences to the family.

I was sad to see the loss of one of "the greats" in this life. I met Dr. Pritchard when I worked for Parke-Davis and called on the neurology dept. at MUSC. He was the kindest doctor I ever worked with. Later, I got to share time with him at Porter-Gaud football games when my husband coached Matthew. Becky was a teacher to my daughter as well. I wish you all great peace and comfort at this time. Steve and I send our sincerest condolences as well as our hope for the memories of Paul to sustain you.

Dr. Pritchard was a remarkable physician. His grace was abundant and his passion for educating all levels of providers from EEG techs to physicians always shined. His warm smile will be missed by MUSC, Neurology, and Epilepsy communities but his legacy will live forever.

Perhaps Dr. Pritchard's loving wife, Becky, can do true justice to his memories and condolences, since the rest of us knew him for one or more days or ages, but not all of them. Nevertheless, I think it is fair to say that seldom, if ever, have we been graced by a more distinguished, and yet personable, humble, courtlier, and accomplished Southern gentleman in ALL aspects of his life. His records ably reflect that he operated at the very highest levels in every aspect of his life, including in his care for others. His father (Jr.) was my childhood doctor and he and his wife raised all of their children to achieve great things, but to wear the cloak of humility in so doing, because all of their gifts were God-given, and Paul did so in every aspect of his life. He was incredibly loved by family and friends his entire life . . . a very fortunate man!! R/TLM

Dr. Pritchard´s legacy will live forever. Never was there a more patient individual, with his patients and all the students and residents that were lucky to study under his direction. We hadn´t spoken for over 10 years but I continue to model my practice and education style to mirror his. Never will I ever meet such welcoming ambassador for the South and the Neurosciences.
