Paul "Preach" Schiwitz, Jr., age 88, of Sikeston, died Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Daybreak Nursing Center in Miner, MO.

Born May 22, 1937, at Delta, MO, to the late Paul Schiwitz, Sr. and Eva Mae Lynn Schiwitz, he was drafted into the US. Army during the Cuban Missel Crisis. After an honorable discharge from the service, he would settle in Sikeston, MO and began work with the McMullin family first in construction and later moved over to the asphalt division of the McMullin Company where he would retire after 25 years of service. He had attended the New Savannah Baptist Church in rural Scott County.

On February 4, 1972, he married Clyda Ruth Lynn, who survives of the home.

Also surviving is his niece, Marge; his brother in law and sister in law, Mike (Marsha) Lynn and their family, Amy, Angie and Emily; as well as several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth E. Schiwitz Staub; and his father in law and mother in law, Clyde Lynn, Jr. and Nadine Ruth Thomason Lynn.

No services are scheduled at this time.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
