Paul Ray Seay was born in Saint Augustine, Florida, on November 10, 1950, to Katheryn Estelle Stevenson and John Williams Seay, Sr. He was raised in Gainesville, Florida, and graduated from Gainesville High School in 1969.
He married Margaret LeAnn Easom on June 25, 1969. Paul was employed at Ward's Supermarket for 21 years, starting as a meat cutter and advancing to meat market manager. He later moved to
Melrose, where he worked at Williamson's Food Store for 40 years as the meat market manager. During his time at Williamson's, he also owned and operated Paul's Custom Cutting.
Paul and LeAnn had four children together: Billy Seay (Glennice), Jason Seay (Kelly), Justin Seay (Stephanie), and Katie Gibbs (Josh). They were blessed with thirteen grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
He leaves behind two brothers and one sister: Major Seay, Sr. (Michelle), Johnny Seay, Jr., and Linda Johnson. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Paul was a beloved member of the local community and served as Grand Marshal of the Melrose Christmas Parade for two consecutive years. He never met a stranger and leaves behind countless wonderful friends.
Paul was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He often said that he was not a rich man by material value, but that he was blessed with the riches of a wonderful family and many dear friends.

Paul came into the store(Williamson´s)one day and Romie asked him if he knew where he could find a good meat cutter? Paul replied, I think you found him.

Paul was a much loved character in the store and all of Melrose. His passing is deeply saddening. Rest in peace good friend. Praying for peace for his family. Mrs. Williamson and family.

Paul was our community. He knew everyone. Greeted you with a joke or story to tell. I would be getting just a few things at Williamson's when he would put something in my grocery buggy say, Karl call and said you need this. After Williamson's closed we would see him at the empty lot selling his "stuff" but more importantly chatting with anyone who stopped by. We will all miss his infectious smile, laughter and the stories.... oh the stories. Melrose is changing. This change, Paul's death, is one of the worst. We will be praying for peace for his family.

Paul Seay I enjoyed getting to know you over the years. I was shocked that someone told me that you passed away.
You were a good friend and I´m going to miss seeing you around.

Paul was a sweetheart of a gentleman. He was always courteous and a pleasure to work it as a buyer it Williamson's. The world will miss his levity and happy spirit, as will all of Melrose and the many, many people who shopped at Williamson's. He knew how to cut meat expertly and quickly. He always provided whatever was asked of him.
He was excited to move on in his life and get his body ready for more activities. His passing is a shock and makes my memories or him even more special.
